What We Do

Boulder Writing Studio offers workshops, editorial services, community events, and youth programs for writers in Boulder and its neighboring communities. Our services include:

  •     WORKSHOPS in fiction, screenwriting, creative nonfiction, personal essay & poetry for beginning through advanced writers.

o   Intro workshops introduce the fundamentals of a particular genre and help new writers discover their strongest voice and form

o   Ongoing workshops offer constructive support and feedback for writers furthering their craft on works-in-progress

o   Advanced workshops help writers tackle challenges unique to their style and form, and support writers completing full-length works

  •     ONE-ON-ONE CONSULTATIONS for writers developing, revising or completing a manuscript

  •      EDITORIAL SERVICES for writers refining or completing a project for personal or professional use, or for publication

  •       YOUTH MENTORING for young writers working on senior projects, college essays or creative writing portfolios

  •      COMMUNITY EVENTS—craft talks, author readings, and social gatherings that bring Boulder’s writing community together for camaraderie, support, and professional development.
