Poetry Intensive: Poetic Sequence
with Elizabeth Robinson

This workshop will help poets stretch their poems from page to page, looking at the ways a sequence of poems can build an idea while also shifting in tone and focus from page to page.  Students are invited to come to class with a one page poem, and we will experiment and play from there. We will consider examples from a number of contemporary poets.

All levels welcome.

Elizabeth Robinson is the author of 12 volumes of poetry, including On Ghosts, a 2013 finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Award.  A winner of the National Poetry Series and the Fence Modern Poets Prize, Robinson has taught as a Hugo Fellow at the University of Montana, at the University of Colorado, Naropa University, and the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
