Poetry Intensive: The Fragment
with Elizabeth Robinson
This generative poetry workshop will work with the fragment in a variety of ways: as an elliptical gesture toward narrative, as a way to frame the image, and as a variant means of creating poetic rhythms. Fragments are an excellent way of capturing poetry’s allusive, lyric qualities. We will consider examples from Sappho, Mallarme, and other poets.
All levels welcome.
