Our 90-minute Saturday workshops are designed to introduce fun and exciting ways for kids to express their imaginations, ideas and interests through the art of creative writing. Every other Saturday afternoon we will explore a new creative writing exercise, read examples from popular books, and write our own creative pieces. Each session will bring focus onto a particular element of creative writing – Character Development, for example – in order to both educate and stimulate interest in the art & craft of creative writing.
These workshops are led by youth instructor Tyler Lyman, who holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Naropa University. Under Tyler’s instruction, workshops will emphasize free creation and play with the goal of bringing discovery, fun, and imagination to table each Saturday afternoon.
Note to parents: There is no ongoing commitment. Registration is on a session-to-session basis. Each Saturday workshop we will introduce and explore new material.
